PostHeaderIcon What Are Temporary Internet Files

nullMicrosoft windows normally come with a directory called Temporary Internet Files. This directory is where website content is stored or cached. Not all web browsers are compatible with this directory. Only a few such as Internet Explorer can cache content in the temporary internet files. This directory is important because it makes it easy for the user to open the cached websites. Temporary internet files are also used for storage purposes by programs such as Windows Desktop Search and Windows Explorer.

The cache in the temporary internet files will remain there up until they are removed manually by the user. Anyone can access the material stored in the directory, as long as they have access. Temporary internet files come in handy incase you need to access a website and there happens to be no internet access where you are. You can view the cached format of the website instead.
