Storing data over the internet is a critical aspect that facilitates the transmission of information over long distances. Storing of data has over the years helped create a global village by linking people, businesses and organizations.

Data can be stored over the internet in different ways and this may include email and email attachments, Web pages, Internet applications or a file on a desktop or notebook computer or on a mobile device.
