Securing a Wireless Network from Malicious hackers
Being an innovative group in the world, the hackers are continually coming up with new ways to break through network defences. But their attacks can generally be grouped into these categories:
MAC spoofing
Hackers use MAC spoofing to impersonate a legitimate network user.
All network interface cards (NICs), like PCMCIA or PCI cards, provide a mechanism for changing their MAC addresses, issued by the manufacturer, that identify a specific device.
Denial of Service (DoS)
In a more common type of DoS attack, the hacker uses a laptop or PDA with a wireless
NIC to issue the floods of de-association frames, forcing clients to drop their association with the access point. Thus the hacker now controls access to the network.
Malicious association
The hacker configures his device to behave as a functioning access point.
When a user’s laptop or station broadcasts a probe for an AP, it encounters the hacker’s device, which responds with an association. At this point, the legitimate user’s computer can be mined for any and all information, including MAC address, SSID, pass codes, etc.
Man-in-the-middle attacks
The hacker sends a de-authorization to a network device, which drops its association to its access point and begins searching for a new access point. It finds the hacker’s station and associates with it, and allowing him to change or steal data at will.
Secure the Wireless Network:
• Adjust the default SSID.
• Use strong encryption.
• Set up mutual authentication between the client and the network.
• Use VPNs or WEP combined with MAC address control lists to secure business specific devices.
• Use uniqueness networking in combination with VLANs to restrict access to network resources.
• Make sure management ports are secured.
• Set up lightweight access points as they do not store security information locally.
Understanding the method to transfer files from one computer to another:
External storage media:
The market is full of USB and pen drives, which act as an external storage media, can be used to transfer files from one system to another. You just need to copy the files required from the system to the external device then connect it to the other system and transfer it from there.
Use of LAN for sharing:
Here you can transfer in two modes. First is wired one where the systems are connected with each other with a LAN cable.
Other is wireless transfer where the speed may be quite slow when compared.
If you are using the proper desktop, another method is to remove the hard disk of that system and connect it to the other system that way you can transfer the files easily.
This can only be done if the user knows how to properly remove and connect the hard disk in to the computer.
Can deleted files be recovered?
To recover files which have been deleted can be done through various methods. First of all, when the files are deleted there is a chance that the files are not permanently deleted.
They may be present in the recycle bin in the start up menu. If it is present there, select the file you want and press restore. This will restore the file from where it was deleted.
There are various software’s available in the market which will help you to restore the data’s which even you have permanently deleted. It is to be noted that even if you have permanently deleted any file from your system you can retrieve it from various sources.
Even handing over the system to a proper computer expert can retrieve any data you want from the system.
Always keep a back up for all your important files as it may help you in any time of the day.
How Requirements Engineering Can Help You Deliver Smarter Products?

With the advancement in technology, the smartness of the products are increasing and now each and every item in the world right from running shoes to the cars till coffee making machine, all are having computer chips used in them for their functioning. As the qualities of the products which are measured in terms of its intelligence, interconnection and instrumentation are improving, the marketplace for selling it is also becoming competitive. It is because of this reason that you must manage the process of development properly.
You must get it confirmed that if you are investing in development process of any product which is complex, then it must pay you the expected returns. The success of the products depends on the factor as how it will meet the needs of the public. So it becomes extremely to capture as well as prioritize the essentials. Smarter products have the potential to improve the quality and standard of our life.
Storing Data over the Internet
Storing data over the internet is a critical aspect that facilitates the transmission of information over long distances. Storing of data has over the years helped create a global village by linking people, businesses and organizations.
Data can be stored over the internet in different ways and this may include email and email attachments, Web pages, Internet applications or a file on a desktop or notebook computer or on a mobile device. However, these methods are prone to risks and may lead to loss of data through unauthorized access or malfunction of either hardware or software.
To make sure that the data remains secure it is always advisable to use encrypting technology that only grants access to authorized recipients. This method however requires a web browser and a web server that uses HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) rather than the more common HTTP. It’s advisable that users storing sensitive data use the HTTPS model.
Comparing Web Host Companies before Moving Your Files

There are those that offer free trials before you get into an agreement with them. You can try them out and see whether they fit your criteria. Do not commit any money until you are satisfied, if not you can have your money back.
How to transfer files from an old computer to a new one
The basic HTML code is the programming language used by most website developers. HTML is the principal mark up language for internet pages.
Html stands for HyperText Markup Language. The HTML provides a format for creating structural semantics for text like headings, paragraphs, links, quotes etc. The basic HTML code allows loading of scripts in different languages such as JavaScript. It is the basic language use by many web developers around the world.
The first specifications of the HTML were available as early as 1991. The Html specifications continued to develop but have been maintained since 1996 because the sponsors of the IETF stalled further development due to competing interests. Nevertheless, the basic HTML code became an internationally recognized standard in 2000. There have been several inputs to the version by several commercial vendors.
The last HTML published by the World Wide Consortium is the HTML 4.01. In 2001, errata published issues and errors involving HTML.
